Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act cancels (repeals) the Superphosphate Bounty Act 1941, which was a law that gave government payments (bounties) to support the production or sale of superphosphate fertilizer.

What it does:

Ends the subsidy scheme for superphosphate that had been running since 1941
Took effect on 1 July 1950

Why it matters: This stopped government financial support for the fertilizer industry. Farmers and manufacturers would no longer receive bounty payments under the old scheme. It’s a housekeeping law that tidies up outdated industry subsidies.
