Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Determination sets the fortnightly productivity contribution rates PSS members must pay for the 2016–17 financial year, effective 1 July 2016. It substitutes new amounts into the contribution table specified under Rule 4.3.2 (pursuant to rule 4.3.3) of the PSS Rules.

Employees who are PSS members pay the specified deductions (fixed-dollar amounts in some salary bands and percentage rates in others); the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation delegate authorised the figures. Mechanically it changes members’ take‑home pay and requires payrolls to apply the new bands and calculations.
