Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Determination sets the fortnightly “productivity contribution” amounts payable by members of the Public Sector Superannuation (PSS) for the 2009–2010 year, replacing the table in the PSS Rules. It prescribes fixed-dollar contributions for lower fortnightly salaries and percentage-based contributions (3% or 2%) for higher salary bands. The Delegate of the Australian Reward Investment Alliance made the change under Rule 4.3.3 and the Deed in force under section 4 of the Superannuation Act 1990. It changes contribution amounts and requires payrolls to apply banded calculations; it does not alter who the PSS covers.
