Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Determination sets the fortnightly productivity contribution rates that PSS members must pay for the 2005–06 year, effective 1 July 2005, and replaces the prior rates. It prescribes fixed-dollar contributions for lower and some middle salary bands and percentage-based contributions (3% or 2%) for other bands (cl.3).

Employees fund these contributions through payroll; the PSS Board delegate made the change under rule 4.3.3. Employers/administrators must update payroll calculations, shifting payment burdens between flat amounts and percentage-based rates.
