Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Determination sets the maximum lump‑sum and pension amounts payable from the Public Sector Superannuation (PSS) and Australian Federal Police (AFP) schemes for the 2019–20 financial year. It substitutes specific numeric caps and salary‑based multiples into the PSS Rules so the scheme knows the top benefit it can pay.

It affects current and future PSS/AFP members and the Corporation that pays benefits; the cap levels determine payment limits, administrative calculation and possible tax/timing choices by members.
