Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Declaration, effective 1 July 2006, revokes earlier declarations and names six superannuation funds as “approved funds” for the purposes of subsection 4C(1) of the Superannuation (Productivity Benefit) Act 1988. It is a ministerial instrument (made by the Minister for Finance and Administration) that determines which funds hold approved‑fund status. The Declaration does not itself set payments or entitlements under the Act; those outcomes follow the Act and apply to the listed funds and parties that rely on approved‑fund status.
