Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Ministerial declaration, made under section 3d of the Superannuation (Productivity Benefit) Act 1988, replaces the Schedule table of contribution amounts for the period 1 July 1993 to 30 June 1994. It sets three pay bands: a fixed low-dollar amount, 5% of the employee’s pay period rate for mid-range pay, and a fixed cap for high pay. Payers required to make continuing contributions under s.3d must use these figures; the change alters payroll calculations and the cash cost by pay band.
