Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument treats full‑time, non‑permanent Australian Civilian Corps employees working only outside Australia as “temporary employees” under the Superannuation Act 1976 if they were CSS‑eligible immediately beforehand. Mechanically, it preserves CSS membership and associated employer contribution obligations for that specific group. It affects those individual employees and the Commonwealth employer’s payroll and superannuation administration.
