Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Declaration adds specific categories of workers to the group called “productivity employees” under Part VIa of the Superannuation Act 1976, with precise start dates. It names employees of several state Legal Aid Commissions, certain hospital staff, Australian overseas representatives and specific Australian Broadcasting Corporation fixed-term overseas employees.

The change matters because those named workers become subject to the Part VIa superannuation arrangements from the dates listed, affecting which super rules apply to them.
