Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Declaration amends the Superannuation Act 1976 table in s.110C(1) from 1 July 1993 by substituting a new productivity contribution schedule for the Commonwealth Superannuation Scheme (CSS). It specifies four fortnightly contribution outcomes that are either fixed-dollar amounts or percentages linked to salary brackets and so determine what employees must pay into the scheme.

CSS members and their employers are affected: employee fortnightly pay and employer payroll accounting change according to the new table, and agencies must apply the substituted amounts from the stated commencement date.
