Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What it does: This Declaration fixes the fortnightly "productivity contribution" amounts for the Commonwealth Superannuation Scheme (CSS) for the 2009–2010 financial year, substituting new figures into the table in subsection 110C(1) of the Superannuation Act 1976. It takes effect from 1 July 2009.

Who it affects and why it matters: CSS members, their employers and payroll administrators must apply the specified fixed-dollar amounts or percentage rates (2%–3%) to employees' fortnightly salaries when calculating employer productivity contributions.
