Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Declaration sets fortnightly “productivity contribution” amounts for members of the Commonwealth Superannuation Scheme (CSS) for the 2004–05 financial year by substituting figures into the table in subsection 110C(1) of the Superannuation Act 1976, effective 1 July 2004.

Members pay the specified fortnightly deduction according to four salary bands; the change was made by the CSS Board’s delegate under section 110D. Mechanically, payroll must apply either a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of fortnightly salary depending on the band, so member deductions and payroll procedures change accordingly.
