Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Declaration sets the fortnightly "productivity contribution" rates for Commonwealth Superannuation Scheme (CSS) employees for the 2003–04 financial year. It prescribes fixed-dollar amounts and percentage bands applied to an employee’s fortnightly salary, determining payroll deductions. The rates were made by a Department of Finance delegate under section 110D of the Superannuation Act 1976. It matters because it changes employee take‑home pay and requires payroll and administration systems to apply the new banded calculation for that year.
