14 Section 6(2) of the *Superannuation and Family Benefits Act Amendment Act 1979* (No. 76 of 1979) reads as follows — “ (2) The amendments effected by subsection (1) of this section have effect in respect of the first fortnightly payment of the allowance payable under item 1 and item 2 of Part II of the Sixth Schedule to the principal Act made in the month of January, 1980 and in respect of every such subsequent payment. ”.
