#### 55 STC to be subject to Minister’s directions in certain circumstances 55 STC to be subject to Minister’s directions in certain circumstances > > (1) The Minister may give a direction to STC relating to the exercise by STC of any one or more of its functions if the Minister is of the opinion that an act or omission, or conduct, by STC has had or could reasonably be expected to have a significant adverse effect on the Consolidated Fund or the financial management of the State. A direction must not be inconsistent with this or any other Act. > > > (2) STC must comply with any such direction. > > > (3) In giving a direction the Minister must have regard to— > > > > > (a) the interests of persons entitled to receive benefits under the STC schemes, and > > > > > (b) the duties and obligations of STC and the members of the STC Board. > > > (4) Nothing in this section constitutes the Minister as a trustee of the STC schemes. > > > (5) STC is not liable for anything done or omitted for the purpose only of complying with a direction of the Minister under this section.
