### 70 Period of reservation > > (1) The reservation of a name is for an initial period of 2 years and may be extended by the Recorder for an additional period of one year. > > > (2) The extension may be granted on an application made within the initial period by the person for whom the name is reserved. > > > (3) A reservation lapses if – > > > > > > (a) the person for whose benefit the name was reserved withdraws the reservation; or > > > > > > > (b) a plan is registered in which the reserved name is given to the scheme.
