### 36 Application for council approval
> > (1) The developer under a staged development scheme may apply to the council for the area in which the site is situated for approval of the scheme in principle.

> > (2) The application must be accompanied by –

> > > > (a) the proposed staged development scheme; and
> > >
> > > > (b) any other document required by the council; and
> > >
> > > > (c) the prescribed fee.
