#### 21 Restrictions on reduction of remuneration of certain office holders 21 Restrictions on reduction of remuneration of certain office holders > > (1) Notwithstanding any other section of this Act, a determination does not operate so as to reduce the rate at which remuneration is payable to the holder of an office specified in Schedule 1. > > > (2) Where an Act contains a provision to the effect that subsection (1) does not apply to a determination made before the date of assent to that Act, then, subject to that Act, the reduction effected by virtue of that Act does not, in relation to any period before that date, apply to a person who is not an office holder at that date. > > > (3) A determination does not operate so as to reduce, contrary to a written contract or agreement entered into by a person and by or on behalf of the State or the Government of the State, the rate at which remuneration is payable to the person as an office holder, unless the person agrees in writing.
