#### 2 Commencement 2 Commencement > > (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date of assent to this Act. > > > (2) Except as provided in subsections (1), (3) and (4), this Act shall commence on such day as may be appointed by the Governor in respect thereof and as may be notified by proclamation published in the Gazette. > > > (3) Section 29 (1), (2) and (3) shall commence on the day on which the [Higher Education Act 1969](/view/pdf/asmade/act-1969-29) is repealed or the date of assent to this Act, whichever is the later. > > > (4) Section 29 (4) shall commence on the day on which the [Securities Industry Act 1970](/view/pdf/asmade/act-1970-35) is repealed or the date of assent to this Act, whichever is the later.
