What it does: This law updates the amount of federal money available to Australian states for building science laboratories in schools.

The details:

It replaces the previous list of funding limits with new dollar amounts for each state, effective from 1 July 1967
Total available: $32.4 million to be shared among the six states
Distribution: New South Wales receives the most ($12.1 million), followed by Victoria ($9.2 million), with Tasmania receiving the smallest allocation ($1.1 million)

Why it matters: This continues a program to improve science education in secondary schools by ensuring states know exactly how much Commonwealth funding they can claim for laboratory construction and equipment.
