Commonwealth act
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This Act authorises the Commonwealth to pay financial assistance to States for colleges of advanced education for the years 1967–1969. It prescribes how recurrent and capital grants are calculated or capped (set out in the Schedules), requires Ministerial approval for courses, projects and library purchases, and attaches conditions, reporting duties and repayment obligations. Payments are drawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund and the Treasurer may make advances; the Minister has discretion over approvals and amounts.
