Tasmania regulation
This order renames the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment as the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania and, from 1 December 2021, transfers most of the part known as EPA Tasmania into the Environment Protection Authority while excluding specified sections. It affects departmental organisation and which agency holds particular environmental functions. The order is administered by the Department of Premier and Cabinet and takes effect on 1 December 2021.

This order may be cited as the State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 2) 2021 .
This order takes effect on 1 December 2021.
The name of the Government department known as the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment is changed to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania.
The part, of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania, known as EPA Tasmania, other than –
(a) the section, within that part, that is known as Waste Initiatives and the section, within that part, that is known as Analytical Services; and
(b) the part, of EPA Tasmania, that is primarily responsible for the administration of legislation and that is within the section, known as Environmental Policy and Support Services, of the branch known as Policy and Business –
is amalgamated with the Environment Protection Authority.
