Tasmania regulation
This Order reorganises several Tasmanian government departments: it merges specified arts agencies into the economic development department, transfers the remaining environment/parks/heritage functions into the primary industries department, renames those two receiving departments, and abolishes the former Department of Environment, Parks, Heritage and the Arts. It takes effect on 1 July 2009. (ss 2–5)
The change affects departmental budgets, staff reporting lines and administrative responsibility and will be administered by the Department of Premier and Cabinet; the Order sets structural outcomes but does not specify transitional funding, staffing or operational details. (s3, s4, final note)
