34 Narrabri Lateral Pipeline project

(1) Development for the purposes of the Narrabri Lateral Pipeline project, to provide a gas pipeline connecting the Narrabri Gas project and the Queensland-Hunter Gas Pipeline.

(2) The development includes—

(a) the construction and operation of the following—

(i) a gas transmission pipeline capable of supplying up to approximately 200 terajoules of gas per day,

(ii) associated or ancillary infrastructure and facilities, including scraper stations, meter stations, pressure let-down facilities and communications towers,

(iii) temporary construction facilities, including laydown and storage areas, access tracks and construction camps, and

(b) the decommissioning of the gas transmission pipeline, associated or ancillary infrastructure and temporary facilities, and

(c) the rehabilitation of the project site.

(3) The development is to be carried out on land in the Narrabri local government area.

(4) In this section—

development does not include surveys, test drilling, archaeological investigations, geotechnical investigations, contamination investigations or other tests, surveys, sampling or investigations for the purpose of assessing the project.
