66B Change of use as exempt development

(1) The change of use of a lawfully constructed dwelling to a group home is exempt development if—

(a) the dwelling is occupied by a single household under a tenancy arrangement administered by a relevant authority, or

(b) at least one bedroom, but no more than 5 bedrooms, in the dwelling is occupied by children or young people receiving out-of-home care.

(2) In this section—

out-of-home care has the same meaning as in the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998, Chapter 8.
