Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This law officially scraps an old set of rules about retirement savings (superannuation) for staff at the Australian National University (ANU).

Who it affects: Primarily ANU staff and former staff who were covered by the Staff Superannuation Statute 2007.

Key effects:

The 2007 Statute is completely removed from the university's rulebook
Any regulations or rules made under the old Statute automatically become invalid when this repeal takes effect
This is administrative 'housekeeping' — likely done because the university moved employees to a different superannuation arrangement (such as a commercial or industry fund) and no longer needs its own separate superannuation rules

Why it matters: It cleans up the legal framework by removing outdated superannuation governance that the university no longer maintains.
