#### 29 Acquisition of land 29 Acquisition of land > > (1) The State Sporting Venues Authority may acquire land or any interest in land, for the purposes of this Act, by agreement or by compulsory process in accordance with the [Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1991-022). > > > (2) Venues NSW may acquire land or any interest in land, for the purposes of this Act, by agreement. > > > (3) For the purposes of the [Public Works Act 1912](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1912-045), any acquisition of land under this Act is taken to be an authorised work, and the sporting venues authority that acquired the land is, in relation to that authorised work, taken to be the Constructing Authority. > > > (4) Sections 34, 35, 36 and 37 of the [Public Works Act 1912](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1912-045) do not apply to or in respect of works constructed under this Act. > > **s 29:** Am 2020 No 29, Sch 1\[12\].
