Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act provides a yearly payment (annuity) of £156 to the widow of David Charles McGrath, a former member of the House of Representatives. The money comes from the government's general revenue fund (taxpayer money). The payment stops if the widow remarries.

This is an example of a private Act — legislation that applies to a specific individual rather than the general public. These were historically common for granting pensions to widows of parliamentarians before standard superannuation schemes existed.
