Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this law does:

This Act creates a special lifetime pension (called an annuity) for the widow of Frank Gwynne Tudor, a former Australian politician.

Key details:

Who gets paid: Mrs. Tudor (the widow of the late Hon. Frank Gwynne Tudor)
How much: £156 per year (paid from government funds)
Where the money comes from: The Consolidated Revenue Fund (the government's main bank account)
When it stops: If she remarries, the payments immediately cease

Why it matters: This is an example of a "private Act" — legislation passed to benefit one specific person rather than the general public. In the early 1900s, Parliament occasionally passed these Acts to provide for the families of prominent public servants or politicians who died without adequate savings or superannuation. It reflects how welfare and pension systems worked (or didn't work) for political families before modern superannuation schemes existed.
