66 Existing report into conduct may replace investigation
(1) This section applies if the Regulator—
(a) makes a determination under section 55(4)(a) that the conduct of a WCES worker or carer must be investigated; and
(b) considers that a report on an investigation (however described) prepared by another regulatory entity or under Part 5A of the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 into the worker or carer or their conduct adequately considers all the information required to be considered for the investigation; and
(c) considers that no further investigation into the worker or carer or their conduct is required to determine whether the worker or carer is engaging in, or has engaged in, conduct that may lead to exclusion.
(2) The Regulator is taken to have carried out an investigation into the conduct of the WCES worker or carer under section 57(1).
(3) If the Regulator refers the matter to a Panel for determination under section 63(b), the Regulator may refer the report referred to in subsection (1)(b) to that Panel.
