306 Service of documents—alternative to attendance

(1) Instead of attending proceedings under this Act, a person who gives or serves a document under this Act or the regulations may—

(a) make an affidavit that—

(i) identifies and is endorsed on, or attached to, a true copy of the original document; and

(ii) states the time and manner in which the original document was given or served; or

(b) transmit the original document for production at the proceedings.

(2) A document purporting to be an affidavit under subsection (1)(a) is to be received in any proceedings and is evidence of the statements contained in the document.
