187 Definitions

S. 187 def. of child wellbeing and safety authorised officer inserted by No. 58/2025 s. 133(1).

child wellbeing and safety authorised officer means a reportable conduct authorised officer within the meaning of the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005;

confidential information means—

(a) health information; or

(b) personal information; or

(c) sensitive information within the meaning set out in Schedule 1 to the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014; or

(d) unique identifiers within the meaning set out in Schedule 1 to the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014; or

(e) identifiers within the meaning of the Health Records Act 2001;

Fair Work Commission means the body established under section 575 of the Fair Work Act 2009 of the Commonwealth;

health information has the same meaning as in section 3(1) of the Health Records Act 2001;

Health Privacy Principle means any of the Health Privacy Principles set out in Schedule 1 to the Health Records Act 2001;

independent expert advisory panel has the same meaning as in Division 3A of Part 10;

Information Privacy Principle means any of the Information Privacy Principles set out in Schedule 1 to the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014;

personal information has the same meaning as in section 3 of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014;

registered health practitioner means a person registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practise a health profession (other than as a student);

Victorian WorkCover Authority has the same meaning as in the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
