Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument lets Centrelink pay a limited “top‑up” to Pension Bonus recipients who were underpaid because their income or assets later proved lower than originally recorded. A top‑up is only available where assets/income have fallen, the correction occurs more than 13 weeks after the bonus began, and the delay was due either to a Centrelink administrative error in the first 13 weeks or to the person providing incorrect financial information during that same initial 13‑week period.
