Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Determination (commencing 1 Oct 2017) tells users of the Social Security Act which external superannuation rules apply when the Act refers to an “income stream” and to the minimum amount for that stream: specific paragraphs of the SIS Regulations and the Schedule 7 calculation method. Made by the Minister, it affects anyone relying on those Act rules by directing them to consult the SIS Regulations for the technical standards and calculations; it does not set payments or restate the standards.
