Commonwealth legislation
This instrument treats the $125 Special Energy Bonus paid by Aurora Energy to Tasmanian pensioner concession card and seniors health card holders as an "exempt lump sum" for the purposes of the Social Security Act. Mechanically, it tells social security administrators not to count that gross one‑off payment under paragraph 8(11)(d) of the Act; it affects recipients of the bonus and how their social security entitlements are assessed. Commencement: 1 December 2017.
