This instrument is made under paragraph 8(11)(d) of the Social Security Act 1991.
In this instrument:
Act means the Social Security Act 1991.
Bali Commemoration Services Travel Assistance Payment means a lump sum payment made to an eligible claimant in accordance with the ‘2025 Bali Commemoration Services – Travel Assistance Payment Guidelines’ for attendance at a Commemoration Service.
Commemoration Service means an official memorial service for the 2005 Bali bombings held on 1 October 2025 at an eligible location identified in the 2025 Bali Commemoration Services – Travel Assistance Payment Guidelines.
2025 Bali Commemoration Services – Travel Assistance Payment Guidelines means the program guidelines dated 16 September 2025, and published on the GrantConnect website (www.grants.gov.au – GO7907), for a grant program operated by the Australian Government to support the participation of eligible claimants that have travelled and participated in a Commemoration Service.
For the purposes of paragraph 8(11)(d) of the Act, a Bali Commemoration Services Travel Assistance Payment is an exempt lump sum.
