Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This document is a legal rule that tells Centrelink which payments count as relocation assistance under social security law.

What it does:

It officially declares that money paid to people under the Connecting People with Jobs trial (a government program to help unemployed people find work) is considered "relocation assistance" under the Social Security (Administration) Act 1999.
The catch: If someone receives two or more payments from this trial for the same job, only the first payment counts as relocation assistance. Any extra payments for that same job don't qualify.

Why it matters: Relocation assistance can affect a person's eligibility for income support payments (like JobSeeker) or how much they receive. This rule ensures that only the initial payment from the trial is treated this way, preventing people from claiming multiple relocation benefits for the same employment.
