This amendment adds the NDIS to the programs covered by the Social and Community Services Pay Equity Special Account so disability support workers remain eligible for government top‑up funding that helped pay the wage rises from the 2012 Equal Remuneration Case.
It protects NDIS workers and their employers from losing those pay‑equity payments during the sector’s transition, preventing cuts to low wages.

This Specification commences on the day immediately after the last day on which a resolution referred to in subsection 9(2) of the Social and Community Services Pay Equity Special Account Act 2012 could have been passed in relation to this specification.
This Specification is made under subsection 7(4) of the Social and Community Services Pay Equity Special Account Act 2012.
Schedule 1 modifies the Social and Community Services Pay Equity Special Account Act 2012.
