regulation

Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This regulation fixes the share of money from soccer football pools subscriptions that must go into the prize fund at 50% (for the purposes of section 19(1)(a)(ii) of the Soccer Football Pools Act 1978). It requires pool operators to allocate half of subscriptions to prizes, reducing the share available for administration, commissions or other authorised uses. Practically, subscribers finance the prize pool; operators must account for and comply with this uniform split, which limits operator discretion over allocation.
