27Minister may make determinations authorising payments

#### 27 Minister may make determinations authorising payments (1) The Minister may make: (a) a determination authorising a payment of financial assistance under this Act to a State or to another person for a year for the purposes of a strategic national initiative; or (b) a determination authorising a notional payment of financial assistance under this Act to a non‑corporate Commonwealth entity (or part of a non‑corporate Commonwealth entity) for a year for the purposes of a strategic national initiative. (2) A determination for a year under subsection (1) must be consistent with the allocations made by the Ministerial Council under section 28 for that year. (3) A determination made under subsection (1) is not a legislative instrument.
