5334 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 10 November 2022 Period of suspension The suspension of a licence has effect on the day, or the day and time, specified in the suspension notice until one of the following happens— (a) the suspension is revoked under clause 10.14; (b) the licence is cancelled under clause 10.16 or expires; or (c) the licence is surrendered in accordance with the provisions of this local law. Cancellation of licence A licence may be cancelled by the CEO or an authorised person if— (a) the licence was obtained improperly; (b) the licence holder has persistently or frequently contravened a term or condition of the licence, or a provision of this local law, whether or not the licence is or has been suspended on the grounds of a contravention; or (c) there are reasonable grounds for believing that the continued provision of the activity constitutes or would constitute an unacceptable risk to the safety of the public, whether or not the licence has been suspended on the grounds of that risk. Surrender of licence A licence holder may, at any time by notice in writing to the local government, surrender the licence.
