22C Requirements for cancelling registration (1) This regulation prescribes requirements in relation to cancelling the registration of a ship in the International Register for subsection 33B (3) of the Act. (2) The prescribed requirements are as follows: (a) the ship’s owner must surrender the registration certificate for the ship to the Registrar as soon as possible after the cancellation; (b) the Registrar must record the cancellation of registration of the ship in the entry for the ship in the Register, without deleting the entry.
