#### 55 Seal of Registration Office and signature of Registrar (1) There shall be a seal of the Australian Shipping Registration Office, in a form determined by the Minister, which shall be under the control of the Registrar. (2) All courts, judges and persons acting judicially shall take judicial notice of the seal of the Registration Office affixed to a document and shall presume that it was duly affixed. (3) Where a signature on a document purports to be the signature of the Registrar or of a person empowered to sign the document by virtue of a delegation under section 53, it shall be presumed, until the contrary is proved, that the signature is that of a person who, at the relevant time, was holding, or performing the duties of, the office of Registrar or was so empowered to sign that document, as the case may be.
