#### 7 Oath or affirmation of office 7 Oath or affirmation of office > > (1) Before exercising any of the Sheriff’s functions, the Sheriff, and each sheriff’s officer, must take an oath of office, or make an affirmation of office, in the form and manner prescribed by the regulations. > > > (2) Failure to comply with subsection (1) does not affect the validity of anything done by the Sheriff, or by a sheriff’s officer, in the exercise of the Sheriff’s functions.
