70Y Chief Commissioner of Police may disclose certain information to affected persons
(1) Subject to this section and section 70Z, the Chief Commissioner of Police may disclose any information specified in section 70ZA to an affected person if any of the following applies—
(a) the disclosure is made for the purposes of performing functions or exercising powers in relation to any relevant application or relevant matter;
(b) a relevant application has been made;
(c) a relevant event has occurred.
(2) If an affected person has nominated a representative, the Chief Commissioner of Police may disclose information under subsection (1) to the representative on behalf of the affected person.
(3) If the affected person is a child, the Chief Commissioner of Police may disclose information under subsection (1) to a parent of the child or a representative nominated by a parent instead of the child or a representative nominated by the child after having regard to—
(a) the child's capacity to receive the disclosure or nominate a representative; and
(b) any preferences for contact expressed by the child and the child's capacity to express those preferences.
(4) This section does not apply if—
(a) the disclosure relates to a registrable offender who is a person to whom Division 9 of Part 3 applies; or
(b) the disclosure of the information would be contrary to an order made by a court.
