66K Additional considerations if the registrable offender is a child (1) In addition to the matters in section 66J, in determining whether to make a final prohibition order against a registrable offender who is a child, the Children's Court must consider the following— (a) the child's educational, training and employment needs; (b) whether the order would prevent the child accessing therapeutic services, and if so, the availability of alternative strategies to manage the child's behaviour; (c) the need to strengthen and preserve the relationship between the child and the child's family; (d) the need to minimise the stigma to the child resulting from the making of a final prohibition order; (e) the desirability of allowing the child's living arrangements to continue without interruption or disturbance; (f) if relevant, the need to ensure that the child is aware that the child must bear responsibility for the child's actions against the law. (2) In addition to the matters specified in subsection (1), the Children's Court must have regard to the assessment report, and any community treatment report. S. 66L inserted by No. 21/2016 s. 8.
