66D Making application for a prohibition order (1) The Chief Commissioner of Police may apply for a prohibition order in respect of a registrable offender. (2) An application under subsection (1) must be made— (a) if the registrable offender is a child, to the Criminal Division of the Children's Court; or (b) in any other case, to the Magistrates' Court. (3) An application under subsection (1) must— (c) include an affidavit made by a police officer setting out the grounds on which the prohibition order is sought; and (4) An application for a prohibition order must be served on the registrable offender as soon as practicable after the application is made.
