30 Retention of material for certain purposes (1) The Chief Commissioner of Police may retain for law enforcement, crime prevention or child protection purposes any of the following taken under this Division from, or in relation to, a registrable offender whose reporting period ends on or after the commencement day— (a) copies of any documents; (b) any fingerprints or fingerscans; (c) any photographs. (2) In this section, ***commencement day*** means the day on which section 13 of the **Sex Offenders Registration Amendment Act 2014** comes into operation. S. 30A inserted by No. 25/2017 s. 8.
