93 Period of emergency detention order
(1) The period of an emergency detention order is a period not exceeding 168 hours specified by the Supreme Court in the order.
(2) The period specified under subsection (1) must be the time that the Supreme Court believes is reasonably required to enable any one or more of the following actions to be taken under this Act—
(a) action to ensure that the offender is adequately supervised under the supervision order or interim supervision order to which the offender is subject;
(b) the making of an application for a detention order and an interim detention order;
(c) any other action under this Act.
