69 Period of detention order
(1) Unless sooner revoked, the period of a detention order is the period not exceeding 3 years specified by the Supreme Court in the order.
(2) Any time spent in custody on remand or serving a custodial sentence during the period of a detention order that has commenced counts in calculating the period of the detention order.
(3) Any time spent in immigration detention during the period of a detention order that has commenced does not count in calculating the period of the detention order.
(4) If an offender is subject to a detention order and is sentenced to a community correction order (within the meaning of the **Sentencing Act 1991**), the community correction order commences on the expiry of the detention order.
